Thyristor, Triac & SCR
Thyristors, triacs, and silicon controlled rectifiers (SCR) are commonly used as triggering and control switching devices. They are an essential element in the use and control of electrical motor speed in appliances, heaters and motors. Thyristors include both unidirectional and bi-directional thyristors and assemblies/modules composed primarily of these devices.
